Okay yo finally! The first book I get to finish this 2024! I have been trying to finish one book early this January but will all the things that happened - me being hospitalised twice, I can't even concentrate reading Iron Flame ( 2nd installment of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yaross.)
I asked my co-admins of my Kindle group - Kindle Buddies PH for any recommendations of books that are light reads and this one of their suggestions. I sideloaded it on my Kindle and based on my Bookmory, I started reading January 28 and completed it on February 4.
I read this without checking reviews so I was surprised there were Asian representations on the book. Interestingly, the female protagonist has autism but this topic was not discussed deeply in the book. It was used on how the author describes the personality of the protagonist, why she acts like that. The male protagonist is indeed sexy, I can imagine how this person looks like. At first, I thought the male protagonist is a douchebag but the book quickly developed and for all we know ( even if the leads didn't realised yet ) they are in love already.
Hmmm. This book is spicy with lust plot leading to "love" which I still don't get at this point. But this is the kind of book this generation read nowadays. I feel like I was in the pandemic days reading Twitter and AO3 AUs.
But atleast, I get to finish the book. Maybe I'll go back to reading something like this again when I am being burned out on situations and even on books with deep plots I am reading.
