I got a new phone!
Last Sunday, I was cleaning my room. Then after a while, I wondered where my phone is. I found it like this already. I am not sure if it fell or I sat over it. ╥﹏╥
If you will look, the screen at the top looked to have a crack and there is already a green vertical line on the screen. After a while, all of the screen became black already. (’へ’)
That phone is a Samsung A31. I bought that around June last year because it has an NFC feature which I wanted to use for my Samsung Galaxy Buds +. I have been using it for a year and have no plans of replacing it until my contract with Globe ends. Unfortunately, I really need to replace it.
Why not have it repaired?
To be fair, I thought of having this fixed first. I asked for a quotation from 2 repair shops. One quoted me 3,000 and another 4,600 pesos for the replacement, labour not included yet.
I then decided that I will just apply for early renewal of my Globe Postpaid plan subscription. My end of contract was supposed to be by November.
I went then to Globe Store in SM Fairview and lined up for the plan renewal queue.
P.S. Globe has an online queue management system now. You have to schedule your visit first before going to the store. You may book your appointment here: Appointment and Queue Management | Globe
I find this much better instead of renewing online as a lot of phone models are out of stock there.
How much?
I paid my remaining plan fee which is 1,799 x 3 months. You have to pay for the remaining months in advance so you can apply for renewal. Then, I choose from the available phones they have. I chose iPhone 12 in purple, 64 GB (128 GB is unavailable).
Of course! Purple for an ARMY like me. (/ε\*)
Maybe next time, I'll share how i designed my ios home screen. It's cute! It's Hua Cheng and Xie Lian themed!
